    4. Spend some time at the Dearborn Homecoming.

    5. Travel the world through music at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
    6. Check out all the hot rides at the Troy Traffic Jam Classic Car Show.
    7. Toss on a helmet and take a ride during Handlebars for the Homeless.
    8. Explore the Detroit Caribbean Cultural Festival.
    9. Watch a film in Campus Martius Park.
    10. Head downtown for some original Detroit barbecue.

    Unaware that Sean Blackman was presenting the World Through Music at the DIA, as listed above, we made plans to spend the weekend at the Port Sanilac Blues Festval. A free event in a beautiful Lake Huron shore setting. Mr. Blackman is a superb musician, among the best in Detroit, and I recommend that forum members consider visiting DIA for the show.

    3) Fine Art & Acoustic Music Festival - Brighton
    4) Dearborn Homecoming Festival - Dearborn
    5) Buy Michigan Now Festival - Northville
    6) Frankenmuth Honey Festival - Frankenmouth
    7) Maritime Days - Marine City
    8) Fine Art Street Fair - Lexington

    [[14) In Warren, but not far, this is a Thai Temple Sunday Market week at Midwest Buddhist Meditation Center. Timing basically coincides with Sunday brunch [[though no alcohol). Always a great culinary and cultural event, and I always leave with plenty of carry-outs for the week ahead. Can only eat so much on a Sunday morning! https://goo.gl/0HrQAw

    The Belle Isle Art Fair was wrth the trip, IMO.
