Default Any background or stories about Detroit based wrestling doc "I Like to Hurt People"?

This movie is pretty brutal [[as-in not a good movie) but as a wrestling fan and a lifelong Detroiter it has enough going on to have me watch it in the background and want to know more about it. Here's the link to the full film on youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqXG2on9pBE

It was supposedly shot in the 70's and completed later in the 80's [[with the "Stop the Sheik" subplot tacked on to try and make it a coherent film rather than a bunch of wrestling footage that is capitalizing on the WWF's popularity in the mid 80's). There's a lot of footage from Cobo featuring the guys my dad told me about watching like Dick the Bruiser and Bobo Brazil when HE was growing up [[he's 70). They're all old men and you see some of the stars of the 70's/80's like Dusty Rhodes, the Funks and Andre come through town as part of the NWA to put over how crazy and dangerous these Detroit stars are as they used to do in wrestling "territory days".

Not for everyone but an interesting slice of Detroit history especially if you appreciate the fine sport of professional wrestling and it's carny heritage. I'd love to know more about how this came to be and the characters involved.

Enduro, I'm not a boxing fan, but since you are, you might be interested in T-Rex: Her Fight For Gold, which was promo-ed on PBS Newshour last night. It's about Claressa Sheilds from Flint, who was just 17 years old when she won the Olympic gold medal for women’s boxing in 2012. She'll be competing again this year in Rio.

There's a full page of links to stories, a preview trailer, and the entire documentary on this page:

    I'm going to watch it.

Thanks for the tip, I'm a casual boxing fan but I've heard of her and know a little bit about her story. I'll check it out. Just an FYI this is a pro wrestling doc...

LOL. I'm not a wrestling fan either, apparently not so much that I can't even distinguish between boxing and wrestling. It's all just people pounding people to me.
