This is certainly a long time coming, there have been signs on this since around the Super Bowl. Who is the developer?

Also in the article are preliminary plans for the Leland House on Bagley.

    That building has good bones.

Mike Higgins did a great job on Broderick Tower. I'm interested to see how the Leland turns out. Wonder if that mom and pop diner will stay.

By the time Gilbert announces his Hudson's site design/construction timeline, all of Woodward in that area will be filled up and rehabbed [[or pretty damn close).

23 one and two-bedroom apartments according to the link DansTheMan posted.

When did Higgins gain control of this building? My understanding is that the previous owner, living in NYC, had priced it too high. Maybe they finally got their price.

That said, Higgins has a spotty record. If he has enough capital and good partners as he did with the Broderick, then he can probably pull this off. Otherwise, he's been known to fall through on his proclamations before.
