    Default Woodstock?

    H. Ford is credited with saying history is bunk. Perhaps he was right. Here is a Wall street journal piece on Woodstock.

It seems nothing is as it seems it was...or was it? I watched a show on vh1.." Woodstock now and then" last eve and nothing seems rigged. But then there is that journal article

It would be nice to see the film [[if they can ever find it) of Abbie Hoffman being "escorted" off the stage by Pete Townshend.

A muddy mess. Poor sound system. Stoned performers. Lost cars. Bugs. Bad drugs.
And about three million people claim to have been there....

I did not get to attend this event but we were in Downtown TC during the film festival and the
peaceful easy feeling of mutual respect was in the air and everyone was just beaming with enthusiasm.
AND THE WOODSTOCK MOVIE was one of the biggest draws.

Yes I've met several of those three million myself.

I wasn't there but remember it well, I was too young to go and probably wouldn't have went anyway. Was having a conversation the other day with someone about that era. Looking back over the last 20 not much has really transpired, music and cutlure is pretty much dormant. We were fortunate to come up in that time - early 60's on up in to the 70's For music and culture, what a tumultuous era that was. Hippy's, Yipee's, Rock and Roll, Rock concerts, Sit-ins, walkouts, marches, civil rights protests, Riots, Wars, more protests, AWOL, Amnesty, The Draft, scandals, disasters, if it feels good do it, mini-skirts, maxi-skirts, halter tops, burn your bra, Womens Lib, it goes on and on. It was a great time to be alive. Never a dull moment.
