In 1966 a brother and sister went with their parents to a Detroit Tigers game. While there they had their portraits drawn by two street artists. The brother had his drawing done in chalk by the artist Tasco who later became semi-famous for having his drawings of sports figures sponsored by the Little Caesars pizza chain on a number of calendars. Tasco is discussed in the following old forum that appears to be closed:

The sister had her portrait completed by another street artist who appears to have signed his work "Garo". This work appears to have been completed with felt tipped markers. I am not sure if Garo was a friend of Tasco or they simply happened to be working on the same street at the time. I am also not certain this artist was from Detroit as perhaps he or she simply visited the area when the crowds would be at games so that money could be earned from the drawings.

Here's a picture of the drawing [[you can enlarge it further by clicking on it):

Thank you for any information on Garo!
