Ford Wins-1000 Belle Isle passes to be given away today

Just heard on WDET that Ford will be giving away 1000 passes to state parks today for those who queue up to view the fireworks from Belle Isle.

I'm betting Roger Penske...or even the PR folks at the Gran Prix and/or Chevrolet...wishes they'd've thought of this first.


Certainly would've made some miles towards making peace over the race disruption on the isle.


They sure did clean it up quickly this year, too. I'd love to see a comparison of last year's build and tear-down schedule compared with this, kudos to Penske's team for reducing their impact on those of us who enjoy the park often.
