    It was interesting to see confirmation in the original article of what has already been mentioned in these forums: that Detroit is struggling to recruit enough software engineers. I hope that issue is resolved. Once enough of a software development culture exists in a region critical mass will take over and hopefully the problem goes away.

    I'm interested why too few software engineers are lured to Detroit. I don't know the auto industry but I do know the software industry, and I suggest Lear got it right when they opened their innovation center next to Capitol Park:
