I did. Those movies prophesied the pre-to post apocalypse of humanity through deadly uncurable and preventable viruses. The H1N1 flu is here. It probably mutated from some other flus and its going to keep on mutating until it becomes a 'superflu' that would wipe man off the face of the Earth. Plus there are other deadly baterias and viruses hidden in Earth ready to strike. The best we can do is wash our hands fequently, don't touch a person who is sick, be careful of handling food or touching surfaces and watch for people coughing and sneezing. If you think you have the some type of flu-like symptoms STAY HOME! of flu like symtoms presists GO THE DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY! These are ordinaray words from me and other people when you see on T.V. internet or newspapers.

Gannon, you venture into territory that you are less than ill equipped to intelligently discuss. H1N1 is real, it may, or may not be a large scale threat and nobody can ever accurately predict the penetration and incidence of the disease. The vaccine series is, albeit rapidly, being properly developed and tested.

Bullshit on, herr doctor, and don't go throwing around fucking credentials...they truly mean nothing to me except you went to school and passed a few tests. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

A sheepskin to most people is license to STOP learning, damn shame. Not saying you haven't kept up on your studies, I know you must keep up on the latest bullshit lines passed by the Food and Drug Administration fueled and funded by Big Pharma.

I was talking about all the other topics here that you DON'T have anything to add except stuff YOU are not qualified to discuss. Mere human things. Ethereal ones, too. Stuff outside your thin little logic trail...the stuff most Westerners miss when focusing on minutiae. Ah, another happy story on a couple who actually volunteered for the vaccine, because they heard this flu would be SO dangerous.

At least this one contains mere lip-service to the REAL defense available to us...

Also, keep your immune system healthy. That translates to eating well, getting enough sleep and staying active.

Then again, I also wonder why Gannon says "Cheers" and spells "Practise" in the UK English variant, while spelling other words in the USA English variant.

Rather than worry, or demand vaccinations, most would be better off simply by going on with their lives. Wash your hands. Stay home, if infected.
It's "the flu". Most of us will be OK. Stay hydrated, rest, and let it run its course.
I enjoy Vernor's and chicken soup as palliatives. No vaccine here, thank you.

I can't believe this hype is still going on. The CDC estimates that the US averages 36,000 deaths a year from seasonal flu. That gets miniscule news coverage compared to H1N1, which may or may not be anything. Let the hysteria continue.

If you still want to get vaccinated. Walgreens and other places will do it for $25.

We don't need oversight from some government agency.

Market forces will choose the correct vaccine from the correct company once people realize which company kills the fewest people.

Not gonna happen anytime soon, Jimaz..if you had any idea how much it costs to insure a lightweight [[under two pounds) model aircraft for very limited urban photography flights, you'd cease to worry about this sorta thing happening in the near future.

Ever read any of the research from private and public [[CDC) epidemiologic studies? What do you think vaccinations are for? To minimize risk to large populations [[not individuals per say). MINIMIZE, not eliminate [[that is not possible. The point is that the objective is to, crudely as you put it..."kill less people"

Who's worried? I'm currently designing a guidance system for an even better drone.

BTW, I'm pretty sure the FAA is going to be softening their regulation of these things in the near future. There's an untapped market niche for wingless drones -- and not just in the military.
