Yeah, the article lays out this journalist's flaws [[though he's a Pulitzer Prize winner), so, maybe the guy should be writing for WorldNetDaily?

I've met Noam. He got flack for defending the principal of letting all have their say and let society aptly weed out the facts from the lies [[or at least make it easier for the truth-speakers to get into the forefront). This sadly put him in the position of having to fairly let nutty holocaust deniers "have their say". This was outlined in Mr. Death [[an Errol Morris film about Fred Leucter who went from humane death machine engineer to holocaust deniers based on flimsy presumptions). Both Chomsky and Morris got attacked by rabid groups who acted more with their unbridled emotions to lash out than with their heads to look where those two were coming from [[clearly Morris's semi-ambivalent depiction of Leucter was not an attempt to exonerate him). So, they got labeled as "holocaust deniers".

Similar over-reaching attempts to quantify and categorize folks by harsh absolutes that seem more like "if you are not 100% on our page, you must be one of them" in the approach shown by this journalist.
