    Default Arizona Voting Fiasco

Has anyone else been following this story? Sounds like Bernie lost votes from this but we should all be outraged.

I'm so glad I moved from Arizona back to Michigan.

In the most recent Michigan election I was told our precinct's turnout was notably higher than usual but I didn't have to wait at all.

    Thumbs up to Michigan!

Here's another link. This is the article the guy in the video was reading from:

    http://usuncut.com/politics/5-exampl...izona-primary/

Long lines were only part of the problem. People were finding their registration wasn't listed right. A total clusterfuck.

    Yeah, I'm outraged.

Because we have an electoral process that makes us no better than most banana republics that put on elections just for placating show. Florida and Ohio was bad enough. Now we need to wake up and see who is doing this, and we need to regain that electoral freedom we've always been promised we had.

If you're talking about primaries, then you need to talk to the parties. Basically they can nominate whomever they want - the parties make the rules. If they want to completely ignore the popular vote and choose amongst the membership, they can do that. If you don't like the way your party picks it's nominee, bring it up with the party, or choose a different party.

Yes, it's a sad commentary on the way we make political decisions.

Increasingly it seems The Parasitic Saboteurs In Power™ are taunting the people to revolt.

Or maybe they're interpreting the lack of revolution as tacit permission to further expand their repression of the people.

Either way it's an unnecessarily dangerous attitude to hold.

Even if it does apply to initial primaries, what we've seen in Las Vegas and Arizona are a terrible foreboding of how more and more rigged the election process is [[and has been for a long time).

It sure does seem that Hillary only wins where the shenanigans occur.

Or where the Democratic Party is firmly established...potentially in position to work a series of dirty little tricks.

Doesn't explain the media blackout, though. I love how the myth of 'money always winning' is being shattered this cycle.

There was some apologetic news story about Hillary at another high-price fund raiser on one of the national programs, as soon as they broadcast the mantra of how 'necessary' it is for this type of bastardization of the democratic process...I laughed and winked at the other Bernie supporter in our household.

Curiously no mention of how Bernie is funding most of his campaign with money from hopeful individuals, including many people we know who've never given political donations ever in their lives.

To hell with the Citizen's United ruling...when real citizens are united, the corporate faux-person fatcats cannot exercise their class rule wantonly.

It has become increasingly obvious, in this age of social media, that the populace will not continue to be duped by that which succeeded in the past. Even and especially the media directing the charade...

    Cheering the Bern!

That's the thing, though. They don't need to pull any dirty tricks. That's what superdelegates are for. And, if push comes to shove, they can completely ignore the popular vote and just pick whomever the party wants. It's not a governmental election, it's a party election - the party makes the rules, and the rules can be whatever the party wants.

According to Maricopa County’s Recorder’s Office, the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division sent a letter last Friday asking for specific data on the number of polling places cut and the reason[[s) why they were cut. In 2012, Maricopa County had 600 polling precincts but cut that number down by more than two-thirds to just 60 four years later in 2016.

A “We the People” petition on the White House website calling for an investigation into Arizona’s primary election this year has reached over 200,000 signatories and looks to have actually sparked a federal investigation.
This is going to keep happening elsewhere until heads roll. Better to put a stop to it now before more mischief is hatched.

    No excuse.

Kansas Voters Have 21 Days to Register if They Speak English, or 15 if They Speak Spanish
The English-language version correctly informed voters that they could register up to 21 days before an election. But the Spanish-language version told voters that they had only 15 days to register, according to the Kansas City Star. Passports were listed as a valid proof of citizenship in the English version; in the Spanish version, they were not.
