Well, they won't have as much competition as we thought. Bagger Dave's has permanently closed. http://detroit.eater.com/2015/12/28/...detroit-closed

Really didn't understand the logic in opening next to his own BWW. That spot is slow enough on non-game days.

Yeah, Detroit really doesn't have enough population density, income density nor foot traffic to support random people strolling into restaurants that aren't unique.

Isn't the space next to Red Smoke just used as a walk for the valet parking? I'm thinking this may be wrong and it is actually going in the never built-out space across the street, which is where I guessed earlier in this thread.

There is a retail space under the valet walkway that has been recently cleared out. Im guessing that it is accurate.

Was seated as Juror No. 5 at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice the other day.
The prosecution removed one juror; the defense then removed two jurors, and
I was one of these two. The jury was being honed into a fine tool for justice,
with a flint flake chipped off here, a couple of flakes there, just as it should be.
Afterwards I went looking for "Krema" the Greektown shop which was said to
prepare "bougatsa", a traditional filled Greek pastry. It was in there but it was
closed, with a sign on their door saying they would reopen in April.

Well, kudos. I hope that this lasts longer than Flavor Flav's chicken place that was up at 15 Mile & Van Dyke.

But I myself would either be looking to see if Krema reopened and carries
bougatsa, or less likely, sampling a burger apiece from all of the little burger
places that opened recently on Ford Road with zero fanfare and tourist pull.
