    Default Activist Ron Scott Passes

    Just learned from WDET.

"The founder of the Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality, Ron Scott, has died at the age of 68.

An outspoken advocate for civil rights, Scott lost his battle with cancer Sunday.

Led by Scott, the Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality, organized rallies, bringing attention to police violence against citizens — most noticeably a stop-and-frisk policy."

Indeed, he touch so many. I saw him last at Whole Foods and was talking to everyone, always active about what was going on in the D on many fronts. He will be missed.
