Apple Street View in Detroit

If you didn't notice, Apple is currently gathering images for their own Street View service. To my surprise, on of their vehicles passed me at Larned and Griswold today. It was a dark gray Dodge California with camera equipment on the roof and an "Apple Maps" sign on the side.

Has anyone else noticed this yet?

Saw the van driving downtown on Friday. I walked passed the minivan as it was stopped at a light at Cadillac Square and Campus Martius.

This was definitely a surprise in my trip yesterday which was primarily intended for an update on M-1 Rail progress.

I saw one on the Davison this past summer. Snapped a bunch of photos as I drove by. I can post pictures if people want me to.

Uber has also been around with one of their camera mapping cars. I saw it in northern Monroe county earlier this month. Their cars have a tall post on top of an SUV.
