    11/6/15 [[Friday) -- 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. -- The Women's Association of Iroquois Avenue Christ Lutheran Church will host its annual harvest sauerkraut supper and sale at the church. Christmas items and baked goods will be available beginning at 4 p.m.; dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The dinner includes roast pork, roast beef, sauerkraut and side dishes, including apple crisp for dessert. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Beer and wine is available for separate purchase. Walk-ins are welcome.

    11/7/15 [[Saturday) to 11/14/15 [[Saturday) -- 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. -- Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church is offering a gentle, slow flow yoga class in the youth pit at the church for all ages and abilities. Seniors are welcome. Mats are provided. Cost is $5 per class. Walk-ins are welcome.

    11/7/15 [[Saturday) -- 10 a.m. -- The Michigan Department of Natural Resources invites everyone to hike through the woods of Belle Isle with a DNR guide, looking for signs of wildlife preparing for the long winter months ahead. Participants should meet in the Belle Isle Nature Zoo parking lot at 176 Lakeside Dr. The program is appropriate for all ages and will last about one hour. Participants should dress for cold weather and wear boots.

    11/7/15 [[Saturday) -- 10 a.m. to 12 noon -- The Belle Isle Conservancy invites everyone to the Koi Wrangle, an annual event at the Belle Isle Aquarium on Belle Isle where volunteers help transfer the fish from their summer home in the pond to their winter home in the aquarium. Bring a new 5-gallon bucket with lid or large Rubbermaid tote with lid for transferring the fish.     11/7/15 [[Saturday) and 11/8/15 [[Sunday) -- 2 p.m. -- The Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle invites everyone to a free movie entitled "Safe Ashore". The 60-minute movie features eyewitness accounts and exclusive footage of the story of three fishermen who race out to save a stranded crew, sailing into the aftermath of Lake Michigan's worst storm on Armistice Day 1940. They not only rescue 17 lives but find another ship lost with all hands.
