Default "Lottie the Body" retired in Detroit

Local artist, author and good friend David Clements has created a very interesting blog pictorial about the famous exotic dancer Lottie the body who is now retired in Detroit. Featured are some great pictures of Lottie now and then.

David is also the author of the excellent book on Detroit commercial art "Talking Shops".

Good to see Lottie still doing well. I remember her well from the old days at BoMac's and my dad remembered her from the old old days before that at the Flame, the Brass Rail, and the 20 Grand. She was, and apparently still is, a real firecracker.

Sarah Klein [[RIP) once did a good story on her and Detroit's burlesque scene, then and now.

Oh wow. I did not know Sarah passed. How sad and tragic.

DCP is a interesting site. Thanks for introducing it. The article on the Dramatics who were one of the best R&B groups of the 70's, and one of my favorites, was good. Willie Ford and LJ Reynolds are the only surviving members left I believe.
