    She was my commencement speaker at my graduation from OU. Such an formidable activist and inspiration to many.

    My folks and I ran into her many times over here on the east side, always fighting the good fight, often against huge and intractable odds. She was always analyzing the world around her.
    She never lost her belief that change was possible, and, more than that, could be effected with enough passion behind it.
