Default Loveland's Wayne County Foreclosure Auction Results - $32 Million and Counting

Loveland Technologies has a great results tracking site located here.

Jerry Paffendorf, Loveland's creator, noted on Facebook, "Hot off the presses: a preliminary look at who bought what Detroit properties where for how much in the first round of the Wayne County Tax Foreclosure Auction. Click a name to see their map.

The numbers may change if people don't pay, and the names may change as bidders deed properties to others, but this is a raw look from county data.

Top level recap: approximately 2,000 properties out of approximately 25,000 were sold to approximately 700 bidders for approximately $32,000,000. 2 buyers bought more than 100 properties."

Screen snap of top spenders below. Click on the addresses to see all addresses of the properties each bought.

The Wayne County auction is thoroughly depressing.

25,000 properties available and less than 10% were worth at least their back taxes. Is there any wonder why so many of those that go in the second round will wind up right back on the auction roll?
