Detroit & Michigan to Get Lion's Share of Tech Funding

See the attached article from today's Freep regarding the Technology Epicenter funding coming Michigan's way. 40 thousand new jobs will be created making batteries for hybrid vehicles for the big three.

For those naysayers who think it's wrong to invest government [[our) money in creating and keeping jobs with American corporations for American workers, then though rocks.

This is how it's done in the rest of the world without a thought.

Japan, Germany, China, India, all have massive government cash infusions into domestic industries in order to compete- that and single payer health care, which we could use as well.

As long as our corporations play by the rules, and keep those jobs in America, then we should ask for more of the same.

Hopefully the legislators from out-state and the suburbs[[republicans) will accept the reality of competing in a world market place and discover that government can do some things beyond tax cuts to help our country be more competitive.
