    Default Heilmann Park

Does anyone remember the pigeon races at Heilmann pool, when it was an outdoor pool [[See the attached photo circa 1965)? They were elimination races. The last two remaining contestants did cannon ball dives off the high board. The one with the biggest splash was declared the winner.

Also, Does anyone know the whereabouts of Frank Toomey [[Commnuity director) during the 70s?

Drove past Heilmann just the other day. Along with the rest of the old hood it brings back great memories.
