This weekend's twinkie sweep should finalize the Tigers decision to sell at the deadline. They can rebuild for next year because they really have no choice. They are locked into long-term deals with Cabrera, Verlander and Martinez. They have no minor league prospects to rebuild long-term and Ilitch isn't getting any younger.

Free Agents to move - Price, Soria, Cespedes, Davis and Avila.
Additional crap coming off the books - Nathan, Chamberlain, Gorzelanny.

Price has given no indication he wants to re-sign and another one of those monster 10 year deals is probably not wise anyway. Fortunately there are several free agent starters available in the off-season. Cespedes is the interesting one. He has his strengths - defence, power, avg. and weaknesses - strikes out a ton and doesn't walk enough. If you can get him for 4 yrs. at 17 million then they should probably grab him since there's nothing in the minors. Moya is playing better at Toledo but definitely not ready for prime time. Time to restock with nearly ready prospects from other clubs.
