Thread: Chevrolet Coup

    Default Chevrolet Coup

This morning I witnessed what might best be described as an invasion...an assault...on the inner regions of Belle Isle. A quick reconnaissance yielded valuable information, it was an organized event by the corporate giant Chevrolet.

I'm guessing their social media spies overheard the heated discussion after Penske's races becoming increasingly scornful...and they've moved to secure the island for future racing.

Larger pickemup trucks were seen slowly and somewhat erratically patrolling the perimeter, and the island authorities were obviously laying down for this onslaught.

They even let one park on that little traffic island in front of the flower clock...I guess the trooper cruisers didn't kill enough of the grass when they parked there during race weekend.

I am unaware of this giant corporation called "Chevrolet." What's their stock ticker?

I believe this Chevrolet is within an alliance under a General, I forget his last name. One of their divisions is named after the invader and colonizer Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac. Perhaps the stock you seek can be found under some code related with them. The General is most certainly the key.

I would expect that Cadillac group to be the ones the General would use to invade and occupy, indeed I've seen notices on the flatscreen where units from them are parked all willy-nilly around the biggest city in the nation. No doubt the Mothe-Cadillac's are all engaged with other major NYC actions I've heard about...the only reason for such idiotic parking must be some form of weird take-over...I'm certain I've heard talk of new headquarters...

It appears Chevrolet is used for areas smaller than an entire city. At least they were clearly en force on Belle Isle today.

It is clear that those who claim to "always be on the island" are either liars, or they've joined this action and don't mind Belle Isle being taken over by Chevrolet...because there is no way anyone who visited the island today could miss this.

Every internal road was cut off by orange pylons...and from the Casino down to the Aquarium they were demonstrating vehicles for their dealers...yet another corporate take-over of our little paradise. I decided to have some fun with it.

I don't see piles of garbage all over anymore! I'm good.

There was no sign of the invasion this morning.

Chevrolet has left the island, and they took their orange cones with them. Either it was merely a drill, or they failed with this incursion. I did think it odd that one of the participants drove a vintage early-60s Corvette convertible.

As for the garbage...there seem to be the same number of garbage cans, which all need emptying on Monday morning, just like they used to be. Difference is the lack of nasty rummaging through them for bottles and spreading it all around. People still make huge messes of the picnic areas, which the city never failed to clean up after the weekend. I'd say the state is merely on par with garbage, not any significant improvement from previous management.

I think people are seeing that they want to see...one thing is for certain, the attendance at the park seems WAY up this year from last.
