Default New aerial images posted on Google Earth

Browsing Google Earth, I noticed that new aerial images of the city and much of the region-extending west to just past Ann Arbor and from Lake Orion to Newport-have been posted.

They are so recent that the M-1 Rail tracks on lower Woodward,well-underway construction work on both on the Midtown portion of M-1 Rail and on the new arena and the building housing the soon-to-open Old Redford Meijer are all visible. As a matter of fact-the new images are barely over a month old.

Definitely some noticeable changes from the most recent aerials Google had for most of the city-which were from 2010!

Was there a hail storm or something recently? I see a lot of blue tarps covering roofs [[eg. Lauder s/o Midland) around the west side.
