Acclaimed German film director Werner Herzog [Rescue Dawn, Fitzcarraldo, Kaspar Hauser...] has directed a piece on Ponyride. a business incubator and production facility for social conscience enterprises created by Phil Cooley [of Slow's BBQ fame].

The piece begins with some of the old saws of new Detroit story - ruins, bankruptcy, urban prairies, urban farms, innovative startups... but then continues with more substance in describing some of the players and businesses going on in the Corktown facility.

The more interesting story of how Herzog was induced to do the piece [funded by American Express and that's probably a lot of the answer] is absent.
