Default Doctor stabbed in Grosse pointe woods home

Saw the news video on this and also read the article. Some of it doesn't make sense. Why would he not call 911 for help, and then drive himself from GP to St. John Macomb hospital when he has St. John's hospital right down the street from his house? Just seems a little confusing to me.

The article says he works at that hospital in the ER

Noted he worked as ER doctor at St Johns Macomb. Better the devil you know and can trust to quiet things down. On the other hand, ER Dr? Recreational Oxycodone after a long shift, anyone?

The media screws these stories up so bad it's a wonder we can tell what actually happened at all.

The comments from police seem to suggest they don't believe him. This kind of thing is wildly rare in the neighborhood where it is alleged to have happened - I know it well.

Sounds like a swiss cheese story...lots of holes.

I personally know a few people who were interviewed for a few newspaper articles. In every case, what was in the article had absolutely no relation to what went on in the interview. Even the "verbatim" quotes were completely wrong. I guess the truth was too boring and needed some "enhancement."

Well this never did pass the smell test... but here's something that may possibly start putting things into perspective....

Neighbors say Millican is a divorced father who is seen playing with his kids on weekends, but they also say they see younger women coming and going late at night, early in the morning and there's one woman in particular they've seen very regularly and as recently as Thursday night."

"There's a woman occasionally at the house, a blonde in her mid-30s, driving a black vehicle possibly an SUV, that is banging on the door, sometimes he answers the door, sometimes he does not," according to McDonagh.

^^^ It's an old story of some doctors responding to solicitations from women, or being solicitous themselves. Then it all gets messy and dramatic!

It's was a just plan, case and rob attempt, a violent crime of opportunity. A mysterious woman [[ could be his lover) broke into a Richville man's home, stab, rob and, grab his valuables and were long gone. The violent crime was organized because the thief known their are police around every 20 minutes.

I think its time for folks in Richville to either set community policing or lose your precious lakefront property. After all your neighborhoods is just kiddie corner Detroit. Just across the street on Mack Ave. from Alter Rd. to Kingsville St.

He could have been writing 'scrips for all the new chickadees in his life. That would explain the traffic. Maybe a husband/boyfriend got tired of the lack of attention and decided to make a house call. Anyway, this is all speculation 'till the GPPD reveals their findings.
