    Default rare things to eat around town

    The pies, made from navy beans but sweetened with sugar and cinnamon, have a crust, a custard layer and a cookie-like topping.

    Well, they serve chicken feet at the Mongolian Barbecue on Ryan in Warren, does that count?

    I actually ate chicken feet as a young kid. Grandma used to boil them to add flavor to her chicken soup stock.

    Bean pies are actually pretty good, taste like sweet potato or pumpkin, but very high in protein and fiber.

    My sister still makes soup from the feet. She also adds it to her sauce [[when I'm not eating over). GROSS! ;-)

    I should add, she laughs at me when I cook dandelion greens. She won't touch them.
