At the Concourse De Elegance, yesterday, there was a guy handing out information out of his late model Mustang regarding a move to free GM and Chrysler from tyrranical government socialist control. A nice, soft spoken and friendly guy making a realistic pitch. Contrast this to the bitter nasty activist libs.

Some bumper stickers and material directed at the political issue at hand. No solicitation for donations, just support kindly requested for those that might be interested.

the other side can get rowdy, too. I'm sure how a lib feels when they listen to Rush or Levin irritates them as bad as it would if a Conservative listened to Air America.

There are some nasty activist libs, but I've been fortunate enough to meet some very level headed ones who can appreciate opposing views, even if they don't agree with them, and not attack the person for having them.
Right wingers can also get downright nasty with Libs in a 1 on 1 conversation, because they simply can't digest the viewpoint thats being thrown at them.

Here's something.....I was really shocked, watching the View the other day. I don't normally watch that show, the bunch of hens idolize Obama as if he were the Messiah himself. But I saw Michelle Malkin there. I have to hand it to the ladies on the View, though. They didn't belittle Michelle or treat her like trash.

I ESPECIALLY expected Whoopie to go off on Michelle, because Whoopie campaigned heavily for Obama, even appeared in a music video for him. Whoopie asked a good question: "If you think Obama's administration is as corrupt as Bush's, then what do you offer as an alternative?".
Michelle offered no direct answer.

Truth is, Democrats and Republicans alike are corrupt and don't have the interests of the American people as their primary concern. John McCain would not have made this a perfect world. Obama won't, and George Bush definitely didn't.

For the American people, there is no alternative.
We have what is served up before us, and we have to deal with it.
Acting as if we have a say in what really goes on around here is simply an illusion.

I really think that THIS PROGRAM:
http://www.cars.gov/
should ONLY have applied to American companies our tax dollars are wrapped up in.
It would have put American companies first, and helped them repay the cash back to Uncle Sam, while creating jobs for Americans, increasing tax revenues, and boosting our ecnomy.

Pap, your opinions and views are different than the usual right/left debates and are interesting and, frankly a refreshing change to DY. Welcome aboard.

I would also have liked the program to be only for U.S. Auto Companies, but the politicians were unable to do this due to the trade regulations, beloved by folks like Bats, that prevented that claus from being in the bill.
