I doubt this surprises anyone but the question is what to do about it? I mean, paying for exposure is what advertising is! Should there be [[or is there already) a requirement that paid for endorsements be revealed as such?

Come to think of it, since candidates have to pay off so many for the privilege of representing us, they probably develop a huge sense of entitlement and become relatively desensitized to scamming the system for personal gain. Would you feel guilty about stealing from people who you had to pay to support you, or from people who freely gave you donations? If you steal enough you can always buy the next election again anyways.

With many businesses and business interest groups paying income and property taxes without the ability to vote, the only direct influence that they have on a candidate is contributions... both legal or illegal....

Would giving property owners the ability to vote [[somehow/ some formula) help?
