When you watch the video you can't help being sickened by the action of ALL the Police Officers. WHY WERE THERE SO MANY OF THEM??? DID THEY PLAN IT.They remind one of hyenas encircling their kill like you see on TV Nature programs. They were all disgusting, out of control and I understand that the chokehold that caused the killing is illegal in the NYC Police Dept. Looks like the grand jury used weasel excuses to let the hyenas off. A great miscarriage of real justice. Every cop involved should be indicted for this Manslaughter. I'm usually up for giving the Police the benefit of the doubt for doing a difficult job but I just can't stand looking at these animals; total overkill.

I'm a bit surprised that 'progressive' liberal oriented NYC went 'there' with their verdict. Then again little surprises me at this point. Looks like a choke hold, or my lying eyes:

A tragedy in every sense of the word.

I am kind off curious about the video. The one above is cut 33 seconds in and so are all the copies I have seen online. Does anyone have a link to a video that's not edited at that point?

Makes no sense from what i have seen and read. This graphic I spotted on Facebook with no comment had pretty good timing.

Black life is, objectively, not worth very much.

Maybe in the next life it won't be so.

The police are out of control in this country. Everyone should be outraged.

What crime was the 12 year old with the toy gun committing? Even real criminals are due their day in court. The police can't kill whenever they feel like it.

    Statistics disagree with you.

I think they put red tips on toy guns for a reason. Pull something that looks real, and you may get shot.

More victim blaming. The police never saw the gun before they opened fire.

As you will see from the video below the fold, when the police pulled up on Tamir Rice, they shoot him in less than two seconds. In that encounter, the gun is never drawn for them to see the missing cap one way or the other.

^^^ There's a great deal of questioning about the [Tamir Rice] shooting including how 'fit' the officer who shot him was, etc: http://www.detroityes.com/mb/showthread.php?19495-Timothy-Loehmann-Cop-Who-Shot-Tamir-Rice-Deemed-Unfit-For-Policing-2-Years-Ago

You have good eyes if you can see that in the video, but I'll give you that one. I'll wait to read more as it develops.

Folks you all can protest for 300 years for the vain of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. But they not get Darren Wlison or Daniel Pantaleo be indicted. The Grand Jury has spoken. Our American Justice System made a point that it's open season to kill black people.

I cannot help but feel as if we are being conditioned to accept these murders as S.O.P. So many deaths plastered all over the news in such a short time.

Every morning when when I turn on the news I see them. But no one protests most of them. Sad.

You've got to be kidding, right? Cops plan to go home to their families each day after their shift, so when anyone is pulling out what the cops perceive to be a loaded weapon, they don't have time to stop and analyze the situation. The boy should not have reached in his waistband playing cops and robbers with the police. He was seen pointing this play gun [[which no one knew for sure it was a play gun) in the park. The man who reported it said it looked like a play gun....but who is he? An expert? The gun was missing the orange tip. Did the boy remove it on his own to make the gun much more realistic? Where were the parents when this child is outside, pointing a gun [[real or fake) at people? Maybe the boy was planning suicide by cop, he was seen in the park with his head on his arms like he was upset.
My son is a cop and a damn good one, and I pray to God that if the day ever comes when someone points a gun at him or goes to pull something out of their waistband that he isn't swayed by public opinion and he does exactly what he was trained to do. Next time any of you naysayers need a cop, call someone else because it seems like the cops hands are handcuffed instead of the thugs.
You want anarchy, you'll get it if people don't start stepping in and start reigning in these out of control kids and young adults.
I never wish anyone death, this young boy made a huge mistake...but he owns this, not the cop!

Perspective being what it is, I can't believe you're not kidding. A kid is dead for being a kid because a cop utilized obscenely poor judgment.
