    Default M1 announces who will build the streetcars

    Inekon, no surprise. Bill Shea first with this as always. Seventy-three feet is about twice as long as most of the buses running in the area.

    They will however be narrower than the buses. The average large bus is 40' and handles about 40 seated; 60 with standing.

    The average bus doesn't go back and forth in a straight line within a 3.3 mile confine. Routes can be adjusted as needs arise and conditions change.

    I guess Kwame Kirkpatrick Minority Set Aside Transit Equipment, Inc located in Detroit and providing Detroit jobs didn't make the cut.

    Kwame was three mayors ago: Cockrell, Bing, Duggan. Detroit is not in charge of this project. It is MDOT.
