Default Hamtramck & Highland Park Beginning to catalog blighted structures.

It's actually almost sort of unbelievable that this is just now being done.

I now sort of wonder if we'll see similar websites to Detroit's home auction or even work with Buildingdetroit.org

It does noone any good to have a shitty neighbor.

In HP it would be far easier to list the "good houses", far easier.
That little speedtrap-hellhole is downright depressing.
But, they have a hip hop mayor and he's driving a Cadillac with city license plates with a police entourage to tour the nite spots. Just like kwame.

I wonder if it will get to the point where Detroit will annex Highland Park? It has all the same problems but does not have the same tax revenue to deal with them. When HP goes bankrupt, they won't be able to spend hundreds of millions on lawyers...

That's what you all get if you rent homes to pacifying welfare and food stamp folks who have no jobs and living on fix incomes. Do do that anymore. Property values are dropping fast.

That's what you all get if sell home to those who do not know to get pay their mortgages. Don't do that anymore! Property values drop fast.

That's what you all get if white folks don't get along with black folks in their nieighbrhoods! Don't do that anymore. Property values drop fast.

Blight and abandonment will be created. Poor folks who are now living in the ghetto hoods in Highland Park, Detroit and some areas are in doom and gloom. Drug houses are everywhere, gangs hanging about, homeless folks are squatting your property. It will not end until the whole community step up.

We are looking at the ruins of Ancient United States Cities after the barbarians took over.

A city can't annex a city, thus saith Lansing with their stupid annexation laws. Highland Park, Hantramck can merge its municipal its police, fire dept. and other public services. That's the best we can do.

Motor City Mapping has the properties on Highland Park. A majority of HP's vacant housing seems to be west of Woodward.

There is no absolutely no reason Highland Park [[or Detroit or Pontiac or Downriver or Hamtramck) can't reverse it's fortunes.

As far as the city has fallen it STILL has beautiful homes and apartment buildings.

Of course [[and I hate to sound like a broken record) mass transit is the key.
