I recently noticed this billboard on west I-94 in Dearborn promoting Dr. Rob Steele for U-M regeants. I've noticed some other physicians getting into politics in recent years. I wonder why. Are you not that good to have a decent practice? Do you find medicine to be unfulfilling? Are you trying to create public policy on healthcare or influence it to your beliefs/positions? I'm trying to understand why one who put in so much time & money become a doctor would give it up to be in the legislature. Any ideas?
