Thread: Auto show 2015!

  1. #1

    Default Auto show 2015!

This will be the most exciting yet! I'm so happy that this event is every year, I look forward to it always. In the past, living in the suburbs, we'd usually just head downtown one day for a few hours to check out the show then head back. This year will be my third year staying in a downtown hotel for a few nights. It's so much more relaxing than driving an hour in a snowstorm to get back! We usually pick the Courtyard, our "family" choice, but this year, we've chosen the new Crowne Plaza- and I'm really looking forward to it. What are you looking forward to in this year's show? Will you also be staying downtown? ALSO, I'm starting a daily countdown until the public NAIAS opens- today we're at 89 days!

really looking forward to this event, although really upset the full renovation won't be done yet of cobo!

everything will be done, and the skeleton of the new LED screen facing Jefferson will be up, except the screen itself won't be installed yet ..... was hoping it would be done for this auto show.... although the corner LED screen on Washington and Congress will be up and running! [[not the main marquee one though)

should be a great show though! Cobo will be looking great inside

My dad used to take my brother and I to the AutoShow every year when we were little. It was always fun to go and sit in the cars and push buttons. It's been many, many years since I've been even remotely interested in fighting swarms of people to see a new Dodge Ram.

This year, I'm actually excited about going down and taking a look around, and 98% of the reason is because I want to see COBO, not cars.

So what's the surprise reveal? A Lincoln built on the S550 platform? A Buick Riviera?

I thought the presentations at this year's DAS were so amazing that I came back for a second day. Compared to the Detroit Boat Show, which was just a bunch of expensive boats crammed into a cheap presentation [[with the exception of the have your picture taken inside the Viper booth--Chrysler had some cars there), I didn't spend more than maybe a few hours there. DAS 2014 did everything right. I hope next year's is just as good.
