Default Three year old girl killed in her Detroit home!

It all started with an argument from Denby High School. Six black teens started to shoot em up from the high school, then walked a few blocks to Detroit home on Mogul St. near Kelly Rd. where the Detroit family live. One of the gunmen shot the family and a three year old and is dead. A seventeen year old pregnant teen was also shot. She was taken to the hospital where she is in critical condition.

Detroit police said that this horrific violent crime was gang related. Detroit police has arrested 2 two people. They are looking for 4 more.

I believe those Detroit gang members could be the up and and coming clique from the infamous East Seven Mile Bloods. Extending their territory as far as Harper Woods to the borders of Grosse Pointes [[Richville).

    Any thoughts?

Well geeesh, if everyone had a gun, the streets would be safe, right ?
MORE real guns, cheap, with ammo , dispensed at the corner Dollar Store, that'll fix the problem.
""Yo Homey - how much for this real chrome gun - oh that's $1.50 because it's shiny.
Plain black, that's $1.00 cash because we don't have that Bridge Card machine for gun sales.""
Telling ya all ; Dollar Store real guns by the thousands will make the streets safe.

WTF is wrong with you? I can't tell [[by most of your posts) if you just have an appalling sense of humor or if you are mentally ill, but enough already. A toddler was blown away in her home. Have some decency.

    ------ I have a TON of decency -----
BUT others do not by the everyday killing of everyone around with readily available handguns.

SOOOOOOOOOOO pervasive is this nonsense that YOUTUBE brings it to the forefront.

Evidence shows the states with the lowest gun ownership
and the tightest restrictions have the
    fewest instances of gun violence

Everyone packing heat isn't the answer to a City with an enormous amount of death

yes, pass more gun laws.. because it will keep the guns from those using them illegally anyway.... im sure the guns used were legally purchased with fingerprints and applications to own, etc...

pass more gun laws... like the drug laws... they are effective

The system has received 156,577,260 applications
since 1998 making the USA the highest gun ownership in the world.

The USA only has something like 200 million people ages 18 and over

....and some wonder why little kids get shot....accidently....really, you still wonderin' about it ?

Stop gun production altogether - obviously enough exist for all the un-applied and un-registered wants/desires/needs

No more new laws - just cease production, importation, etc. and then really crank up the smelters
to slowly get the confiscated guns of the streets . Destroy them in a Gun Genocide type project.
That might take a president with real balls, which we haven't had in whenever.

Chicago police seize and destroy more than 10,000 guns a year.
Some states prohibiting the destruction of guns.

In 2010, 8.5 million guns were either manufactured or imported into the U.S.
---for what exactly ? .... because they KILL citizens of the USA and DEATH is PROFIT

If you want a social experiment lesson, look up Prohibition. People will obey laws they choose. As for criminals, no laws apply as far as they are concerned. Stop gun production here and someone else will fill the gap. Couple of questions. What about the legally owned firearms ? What would you propose be done about them ?

Stormtroopers come in and rip them out of peoples houses - civilians pay taxes for a military.
Let the military destroy most of the guns and let the civilians be peaceful once again.
Like I mentioned we need a president with balls, one who wants to stop needless civilian deaths.

Gun collecting is a dirty ugly nasty fetish - similar to child porn - they always want more.
Whats the matter, Kroger, Meijer, Walmart, Target, etc don't have enough food for you to eat ?
Don't try to tell me a citizen needs to go in the woods of Detroit to kill a pigeon for sustenance

DetroitYES Home » Non Detroit Issues » Thom Hartmann » Why are we Number one in Violence?

I'd guess part of the solution would have something to do with shifting some of the passion for protecting unnecessarily broad gun rights toward a passion for necessarily protecting children.

That stance seems to work sanely for the rest of the world.

    Necessary gun rights? No problem!

Take away the spanking, and your children will turn into thugs!

There should be a law to make spanking legal!

America doesn't care, in the aggregate, especially when the gun victims are minority-folk. The NRA has won.

Until people see guns as KILLING machines and nothing else, all else is lost.

The ability of guns and ammunition to store value makes them an appealing investment option on their own merits. According to ammo.net, the price of Remington .223 rounds rose 224 percent from 1999 to 2011 – well above the rate of inflation. Guns are seen as an ASSET, something people want. Gun sales spiked after the election of Barack Obama

The USA doesn't always destroy confiscated guns, because some idiots see them as valuable.

Why aren't bullet proof vests all the rage on the hip-hop scene, instead of other clothing.
FUBU, Pelle Pelle, etc would make a mint selling a jacket that potentially saves kids lives
Maybe a backpack with some protective layers. Surely there are some creative folks.

The criminal element wants to win. IMO, the average responsible gun owner in the D is not necessarily a vetted NRA prop. They are moreover NMAV [[not me a victim). Thank you.
