Attorney General Eric Holder will announce today he will resign after six years at the Justice Department helm. He will stay in the position until his successor is confirmed, a Justice Department official says. FULL STORY

Good riddance. I wonder if there is a statute of limitation on any prosecution of Holder or if President Obama will give Holder a blanket pardon to absolve him of every possible charge. There are 847.5 days left in the Obama presidency. Tactically, Obama should probably wait to cast his most unpopular executive orders until after the Nov. 2016 election especially if a Democratic House or Senate retains power then and Hillary has been elected President to make his unpopular executive orders stick without anyone in Congress having a say.

Holder has gone after issues that I'm always screaming from my soapbox so I like the guy. Im afraid he's possibly not leaving by his own choice. I hope the next AG continues his fight to end mandatory minimum sentencing and push for an and to this lost war on drugs. Billions of dollars lay in the balance for the prison industrial complex.
