    Default Richard Kiels Detroit address.

I just learned of the passing of actor Richard Kiel today, famous for his portrayal of the Jaws character in James Bond films.
I didnt know that he was born in Detroit though.
Does anyone know how long he lived in Detroit, what address he lived at, where he went to school, etc?
    Cant find much on Google.

My favorite is his role as Jaws in Moonraker where he finds love with this odd petite gal of super-human strength just as strange as he! See 1:53 or so...

Here's some info from his bio on IMDB...

IMDB also references over 1,300+ actors, producers, etc. as born in the D!

Yeah, that was a neat trivia fact I didn't know either.

I'd assume he grew up in a very tall house.

I'd think not...if that were the case, he'd have little reason to move away!

Somebody told me he was a born-again Christian.

Personally, my favorite is the gentle giant he portrayed in "The Longest Yard."

According to the NYT article, he moved to California at age 8, and his father owned an appliance store. His autobiography is on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Making-Big-Mov.../dp/1903111315http://www.amazon.com/Making-Big-Mov.../dp/1903111315

When my grandparents lived over by Moross, their neighbors were both very tall, as were their children. They had their kitchen custom made to have higher counters, and had all the transoms between rooms removed so there was more head room.
