Default Lights Out again Downtown, jazz fest. Not good

Walking around the jazz fest and along jefferson last night, it was really bad to see streetlights out all over. Thousands of people walking along Jefferson, in the dark.
very dangerous and a really bad sign to visitors, not only for the jazz fest but also the huge Islamic convention. I see once again our lights along Lafayette East are out again also. What gives? Anyone have a idea or who can be queried quickly.
Surely we can do better than this now.
    Thanks

Have you tried calling DTE? They can usually tell you within minutes.

I thought it was the PLD that powered the streetights downtown, which is [[for now) taxpayer-funded?

My guess is the scrappers and their sponsors, the scrap yards, are responsible.

At lease other lights in Gilberttown Detroit are still working, from the flood lights to the lights above the skyscrapers.

A lot of new lights on the freeway, but neighborhoods are pitch dark. Smh.

A few idiot scrappers have been killed cutting live wires to steal shit.

The PLD is a City of Detroit Department.

I agree with others, I'm pretty sure DTE isn't involved, at all. The PLD is responsible for both the lights and the PLD power grid they are connected to.

DTE is much better at keeping the lights on than PLD. I lived in a neighborhood in Warren with DTE managed lighting. When I reported broken street lights they were fixed within 24-72 hours.
