Default New park to be constructed at site of Southgate Montgomery Ward store

Community members soon will be able to enjoy recreation activities in the Southgate Shopping Center.

City officials held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Southgate Market Center Park at the former Montgomery Ward site on July 16.
It may not be a new store building, but at least something's going in there. Maybe this is just the start of another new entertainment district?

Actually this park will make it easier for folks to walk from places like BW-3's err B-dubs [[sorry agism) to the movies. Anything that makes it more walkable should be seen as an asset in itself. https://www.google.com/maps/place/So...803d25f7093eef

Who knows, maybe making it into a gathering spot could draw some businesses that go for those sort of locations?
