Redford Theatre open house--Saturday August 1st.

The Redford theatre will be hosting a free open house on Saturday August 1st. 10 AM-5 PM. There will be free entertainment, tours, Concessions, merchant tables, hourly drawings and more!

Many local businesses have lent support to this event. All Detroityes members are invited to attend.

The Redford theatre is located at 17360 Lahser, one block north of Grand River in the heart of the Old Redford business district. There is ample free, supervised parking in the lots to the north of the theatre.

We were there, and won a free dinner and some sweet potato goodies! A great time.

It sure was. I put a couple wins back in the pot, fair's fair. Let someone else have a chance. So I am going to El Nibble Nook and Steve's, plus the movies twice. And sweet potato goodies. Fun!

El Nibble Nook makes some outstanding Fajitas. We used to live walking distance from there, still consider it worth the drive.

I wish I would have been able to make it down there for the open house. Can't say that I want to see Lawerance of Arabia this weekend due to the fact that it might jinx one of my vehicles.I have had a good time every time I went to the Redford. That would include rain, sleet and snow.

We missed the Open House, but went last night to see Lawrence on the big screen--"epic" is an understatement! Hopefully the rain lets up for tonight's crowd.

We went Saturday night, it was a good crowd. We only made it through the first set and left at intermission. That Age Onset ADD is the pits!

Now I finally know why my high school heartthrob started putting out his matches with his fingers. He even used to say, the trick is not minding if it hurts.
