He did a number of photos of the Uptown Theater in Chicago, so possibly there?

judging by the source, it could be anywhere in the world. that is the worst homepage ever.
For sure some Photoshop is being used [[upon some of the photos), but that's not a criticism per se. It takes talent and technique to render photos to that style. Nice work. Horrid web site. Who does an advertisement as the background wrap for their home page? Then also put a banner ad of the same advertiser there?

The photographer is Thomas Jorion, who is well known for his ruin photography. His website is a much better place to view his photos than Distractify.

I'm finding some chatter here that it's in Bridgeport, CT built in 1922. "Loews Palace theater?"
Then again, here they label it as from Detroit.
Jorion doesn't label it as being in any specific city, just United States or "Etats-Unis"

All urban ruins are in Detroit. Detroit is the global repository for urban ruins. Its also home to every homeless person warming themselves around a burning can of scrap wood to keep warm while desperately seeking out drinking water. Then again, here they label it as from Detroit.
But seriously folks, we don't have too many remaining unrestored, rotting movie palaces anymore, outside of the fabulous, world-class United Artists ruin, fortunately roofed by Ilitch -- although a decade too late for my taste.
The awesome thing about the picture is it is almost exactly similar to what the very inside lobby of the Easttown Theater looked like-with the exception that the concession stand was on the other side of the entrance of the stairway which ran up in opposite direction. It has the similiar design work and everything.
That is not in Detroit.
Gotta agree with 56packman.... that is not in Detroit. And it's not the Uptown in Chicago, who's entrance lobby is enormous with a horseshoe staircase at the far end away from the entrance in a Spanish Renaissance style.
Wykkidix was right it is the Loew's Palace Cinema in Bridgeforth CN. Loew's Theatre Corporation, run by Marcus Loew... his favorite architect was Thomas Lamb, and this theatre has all the hallmarks of a Lamb design.
