Default Happy Fourth of July to all!

Happy Birthday to a great nation, a respectful neighbor, and beautifully complex country!

Thanks, canuck. The respect is mutual, of course.

Don't be surprised if no one responds for awhile. I don't think anyone's home here. The roads are nearly empty. Everyone's out at their celebrations.

Love your posts and sense of humor!

Canuck, Happy belated Canada Day! And thanks to our Canadian friends at CKWW AM for playing Byron Macgregor's "The Americans" today. Very fitting on Independence Day.

Thanx canuck! Sorry it took so long to get back to you. We all went out to dinner. Then to the bar for some beers and some dancing. Met some girls... That "wink" thing you Canadians use, that works fairly well.

I've never bothered with anything beyond simple sparklers. I've heard some explosions this year that sound like illegal fire works as well.

Glad you all enjoyed yourselves. Honky Tonk, as long as the winking doesn't develop into involuntary twitching, I'm happy!
