    Default Old Detroit High Schools starting with an "R"

    Came across a old High School goldtone belt buckle with a "R" with what looks like a lightening bolt on each side. The "R" is 2 colors split down the middle with Red being first and White being second.Any clues?

    Redford High - Red and Gray
    Romeo - Red and White
    Romulus - Red and White
    Rochester - Blue and White
    Riverview - Maroon and Gold
    Roosevelt - Blue and Gold
    River Rouge - Maroon and White

    Could be a Parochial School

    Regina - Somewhere on the East Side
    Rosary - Somwhere on the West Side
    Redeemer - Vernor and Junction SW Side
    Bro Rice - Land of the sockless.. Bloomingham Hills... Where Lasher is pronounced Lah-sir.

    Regina was Harper Wds: blue and white. Also all girls: belt buckle doubtful

    And here's where the other "R" high schools were/are located:

    Redford Union - Kinloch and Curtis Streets, between 6 and 7 Mile and a few blocks west of Beech Daly Road, Redford
    Redford High - Grand River and Lahser, northwest side
    Romeo - Right at the western edge of the namesake village, where Saint Clair Street becomes 32 Mile Road.
    Romulus - Wayne Road between Wick and I-94 and near Metro Airport
    Rochester - Livernois and Walton, Rochester Hills
    Riverview - Quarry Road and Longsdorf Street, between Pennsylvania and Sibley and a few blocks east of Fort Street
    Roosevelt - Eureka Road and 5th Street, a few blocks west of Biddle [[West Jefferson) Avenue, Wyandotte
    River Rouge - Coolidge Highway and Division Street, two blocks west of West Jefferson [[was originally located on the south side of Coolidge, then moved across Coolidge in the late 1980's)

    Gabriel Richard, co-ed, Pioneers, Burgundy and White
    Brother Rice, all boys, Warrior, Orange and Black
    Holy Redeemer, co-ed, Lions, Purple and Gold
    St. Rita, ? , Vikings, Green and White? They had a football program
    Rosary, all girls, ??
    St. Rose, ? , Golden Bears, Blue and Gold They had a football program
