Default Wheel around Detroit on a Segway tour

This looks like fun. From Detnews: Wheel around Detroit on a Segway tour [[quoted in its entirety).
A local nonprofit will begin offering downtown Detroit tours by Segway beginning Saturday.

The two-hour tours cost $55 and offer participants a chance to see the city from the Segway, which resembles a horseless chariot with handlebars.

Inside Detroit is organizing the tours. Historic sites, landmarks, the Detroit RiverWalk and new developments will be highlighted.

"Every major city across the world offers Segway tours, and people love them. Now people can enjoy Detroit and Segways at the same time," Inside Detroit co-founder Jeanette Pierce said in a release. "Plus, we can cover much more ground on a Segway because it can go up to 12.5 mph, so that means we can showcase even more of our wonderful city."

Participants must be 16 years old or older to go on a tour. The tours are offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

Thanks, but I'll stick with walking tours. ;-)

I'd be tempted to do it just to play around on the Segway.

I'm a PW guide and I love to show visitors the city. When on a walking tour, it's not just about architecture, it's also getting to know the people on the tour. IMHO, a Segway would ruin the fun of the walk.
