Will the filming involve the same type of major sets in Downtown Detroit, as Transformers last year?
Where and when are the casts scheduled to begin the filming?

As I understand it the filming is going on right now using the sound stage in Pontiac.
I have no idea if there will be any scenes shot anywhere else.
They should bring back Wonderwoman.
There's a huge scene being shot in Corktown right now as well as expeced closures along Fort Street between Cass and Griswold and on Shelby from Lafayette to Congress.

There should be something left for the residents afterthe production leaves. A Batman &Superman statue, maybe?
Some local restaurants could also have a themed entrée basedon Batman or Superman.
The Fort street shoot was proceeding this evening and is scheduled for tomorrow as well. There were Metropolis taxis and a Metropolis city bus with a white and orange paint scheme on the street.
Kudos to Vlogger Dan Newman for this video of the shoot. The fabled Batmobile is apparently going to make an appearance at today's shoot.
they need to get rid of several derelict buildings during the battle/attack scenes. Help out with the blight, Warner Bros.
If there's going to be a scene or two set in the Gotham City equivalent of New York's Times Square, this could be the perfect stand-in: no need to go too far.
And I haven't seen the downtown sets in person, but I did accidentally stumble upon a Transformers set on the Statler lot last summer.
Ran into set preparation on Saturday morning as I was leading the Preservation Detroit Cultural Center tour through the main Detroit Public Library!!
When we got to the top of the staircase to the 3rd floor, we found that Adam Strohm Hall and the Old Fine Arts Room were curtained off at all entrances with heavy black drapes. We peaked into Strohm Hall to find that they were setting up an exhibit of something like ancient Roman history. That was strange!! I had not heard anything about such an exhibit! Luckily my PD colleague had heard about this filming location. Then it all made sense!!

Kathleen, I did the downtown tour Saturday and if it wasn't for another PD Volunteer who happened to meet us down there, we wouldn't have gotten into the Guardian building...I also stopped in front of Ernst and Young Building to explain Griswold [[since it was roped off from Michigan to Congress) and the buildings down there and the security guards stared at my group thinking we were about to rush them. We got to go into the Guardian but had to wait and they escorted us in. I felt like I was imposing in my own town.Ran into set preparation on Saturday morning as I was leading the Preservation Detroit Cultural Center tour through the main Detroit Public Library!!

For those interested, shooting is setting up right now on WSU campus. Cass Ave, across from the DPL. Loads of equipment and trailers.
They were over at Prentis [[which has a lovely gothic feel) and near the new science addition. All of the extras were dressed in business attire, as military or FBI agents. I don't think they were going for a university vibe, but I could be totally wrong.
Took another bus full with a German dance troupe downtown for a visit yesterday... they were filming some Superman scenes just east of Woodward & E. Grand River...
The old Police HQ is being used as "Gotham City Jail".

The Russell Industrial Center will be seeing some explosive actions scenes today and Friday. The Batmobile is also been pretty hinted at being used in this area.

I know if I run up there I will get close to the action
NO??
They were filming the Batman Superman movie at the Russell Industrial Center at 6 AM this morning. The Batmobile looks like a high tech hooptie.
No photos. Sorry.
