The answer is NO

Next August many voters will be crossing out the 1.0 mil and writing in 3.0 mi to triple the SMART Property Tax Renewal. This has strong support. This is a write in ballot which I'm sure most will support if the word gets out about save the fuel tax on google on how to make mass transit work.

We also know changing the state constitution to allow County Sale taxes can raise over $300 Million per year with a Penny Tax. This has strong support

Of course you don't. What you need is to keep working and supporting those that don't have, can't afford to, or are unwilling to get their own transportation. Isn't it enough they're paying for an overpriced apartment in Midtown? You don't expect them to supply their own transportation too, do you?

Besides, I hardly ever really Lansing @ all.

I don'r mind an increase in tax if it actually goes to improved bus service. So many taxes get diverted. The system needs serious improvements. I am grateful to have a car and haven't needed buses since the dinosaurs roamed. So many of my neighbors though rely on that shaky system.
