Because he gave a lot of money to the NAACP. A convenient way to buy off the racial trouble in his real estate operations and cover it with a dinner and plaque. But now that it's hit the hyper-public stage, the NAACP has been caught with their ass showing. Lots of 'splainin to do, none of it good.
