hey, it is a logical extension of his beloved "patriot act"

    That is really funny.

Hey no one, except the rich and well-born, will be able to afford to order out a pizza because the basic ingredients [[unless locally grown and produced) will be cost prohibitive. There is a new book looking at what may happen to society if we remain oil dependent and the cost of oil continues to rise. It’s called $20 a gallon or something.

Let’s hope that we soon can get to a place like T. Boone Pickens talks about so that natural gas becomes a transition fuel as we find alternatives to oil.

And rb336, do you really think that the feds are looking at anyone who is not already a bad guy? Monitoring the computer use and phone conversations of average citizens is illegal even under the Patriot Act. You are the kind of conspiracy nut who thinks that there are the modern equivalent of the Red Squads of the 60s and 70s out there looking into little old ladies who don’t like the war because they lost a child there. You are so jaded that you probably believe the CIA violates Congressional mandates and doesn’t tell the truth to Congress when describing what it's doing to keep us safe!

Get a grip, having the government interested in and monitoring your fat consumption on a pizza is in no way related to government monitoring for our national safety.

oh, you mean the feds didn't raid a pacifist book club [[most members were women over 60) in Oakland back in '04 or '05?

well, they were probably growing pot anyway

Check out the Obama initiative for centralized EMR [[electronic medical records)...Makes this pizza paradigm look mild.

That plan has been in the making for a lot longer than Obama has been president. Folks on the right are only hearing about it now because Rushie and his ilk are making a big deal about it and trying to pass it off as a liberal conspiracy.

Yes, and no...the centralized piece is new from the Obama administration. Converting to private EMRs by hospitals and health care providers has been encouraged and optional for a while.

This central plan has a nefarious purpose, that being to establish a database from which care can be rationed CENTRALLY by Obama, with no private alternatives possible [[ie, denied coverage, but paid for privately).

I see your buying what the radical right wing sites are serving. Obama's plan is not a single payer system, which is why many liberals are unhappy with the president.

Read page 16 of 1000+ of the bill in the house to find the cryptic and hidden clause that will force private insurers out of business in a relatively short time leaving??? A single payer.
