Default 30 People Arrested in Corruption Probe

In New Jersey, how is it that only 4 people have been arrested in Detroit? I would think many more need to fall.

Remember a few years ago when they did a sweep through NJ and arrested the mayor and bunch of other police and politicians? That was maybe 5 or so years ago, I think perhaps when they got the new mayor? Whatever the case, this is not the first time this has happened in NJ. Last time, it was just like in a movie the way they went around the city picking up people on the same day!

If the Feds were to arrest everyone suspected of corruption in Detroit, the city would have no formal governing body to speak of, the border crossings would shut down, and the DPS would close completely.

I posted this earlier on NON DETROIT, because NJ crime isn't relevant to DISCUSS DETROIT.

I posted it because I think it's relevant to Detroit in that multiple council persons were accused of taking bribes yet only MC and a couple of other non-council persons have been indicted. Rumors have swirled for years about widespread corruption in the city council and beyond yet the FBI investigation here seems to have done very little to root out all the corrupt politicians. Is the FBI scared to go after more people in Detroit because of race issues? I thought politicians were supposed to start falling like dominoes after MC went down.

We shouldn't allow this, we have a right to honest politicians and if the FBI has credible information to believe a politician or other figure is abusing the public trust, that person[[s) should be brought to justice.

If the FED's arrested 30 people in Detroit, they would be accused of racial profiling. Too bad, becuase I am sure we have just as many crooks here to. Here is the NJ story:

No one is saying Detroit is the most corrupt place on earth. I'm just surprised that the FBI probe which has been going on for years and has contained allegations that multiple Detroit city council persons took bribes has only resulted in the indictment of one city council member [[and she's been charged with far less than the crimes she's actually committed, see Sam Riddell's indictment for proof of this).

Here you have Martha Reeves hundreds of thousands in debt, using city chauffeurs to take her to casinos, etc. and general abuse of pension funds and other public funds by many council members and nothing has come of it at all.

That's because dumb ass Detroiters only vote on name recognition.

Arrest corrupt politicians? In Detroit? In Michigan? Nobody would be left to answer the phones.

I wonder what the party affiliation of the office holders involved is?
