Default Galifianakis to Obama: 'What's it like to be the last black president?'

Well, OK. Just for jokes [[canned or not) one can argue? What if a right-winger had asked him this? ------ Oh the horror!

    http://www.mercurynews.com/entertain...t-like-be-last

    [[See video) From article:

The new episode, which just went live on Funny or Die's website, has Obama taking quite a hard stance on Galifianakis, cracking jokes about the third Hangover movie [[it didn't work out well, says Obama), and generally making fun of his career, stature and looks.

Among Galifianakis's questions: "What is it like to be the last black president?" he asks. "Seriously? What's it like for this to be the last time you ever talked to a president," Obama replies.

    Is Galifianakis not a right-winger?

It could only have been more degrading if he had been interviewed by one of the ferns whether it was the left one or the right one.

Hah! I don't think so - Galifianakis is sorta askew of the bad-baaad 'right-wingers' only narrative.

Agreed. I've never seen a president or a politician for that matter feel the need to appear on so many entertainment programs.

I don't know that most Presidents and other politicians had as many opportunities.

The show was a HUGE success. in the first day 40K people went directly from the clip to the ACA website. Like it or not, this IS the best way for a president or other pol to connect

Very true. After all, even bad publicity's better than none. Folks tossed about on TMZ have learned that!

He is so 'cool' to the peeps for doing the shows -- mingling and mangling!!

President Obama did lob a good check to the talking-head dude. However, 'success' at the entertainment level, relative to politicians and world leaders means little to me considering what is currently occurring on the world stage.

But, perhaps these shows will become the true news outlets were cogent perspectives and facts will be revealed ----!

It's not really all about him, personally, for everyone at the 'despise' level. There's policy that more people [[across the isle) are beginning to question.

It was a success amidst an unsuccessful but necessary effort to enroll young people to subsidize old people.

"For Obamacare to work, young and healthy individuals have to sign up to cover the cost of higher-risk patients. With the deadline for open enrollment quickly coming to a close, the White House recognizes it is short of its youth target and has been reaching out to young people in whatever way it can. Tuesday, the White House released an ad showing why sports injuries could leave millennials broke if they don't have insurance. President Barack Obama appeared on Funny or Die’s ‘Between Two Ferns’ with Zach Galifianakis last week in an effort to reach out to young voters online. That seemed to do the trick with FunnyorDie.com quickly shooting up to be the top source of website referrals to HealthCare.gov."

C'mon young people, this turkey isn't going to fly unless you sign up!

I was hoping that, as reasonable adults, we'd all have assumed that to be the case. I wasn't posting to suggest we all knew him personally.

Think about what you just said. Any president if they wanted could probably call every talk show that they wanted, and say they want to be on and it would happen. The problem with our president is that all he want to do is make PR appearances and be on mindless shows like this. He's rarely appearing on anything that is of importance.

You truly think there were as many television & internet shows for any other President, aside from maybe Bush 2? Because that's what I said.

If that's ALL Obama wants to do, why isn't he on way more shows?

You don't like the show. You don't like the President. You obviously have this opinion. But hopefully you realize countless others completely disagree. Your partisanship is getting in the way of reality.

What do you consider important? the lame slew of Sunday meaningless argument shows? The O'Reilly Bullshit Factory? This president actually knows how to reach people, and he targeted young people with his appearance and IT WORKED.

    This is stupid.

Obama is what? 25% black? He's more white than black.
From what I've read about his family line, he's half white, with the other half an arabic and black mix.

And who even cares? It's about time society became colorblind, and judged people by their actions and not their genealogy.
Articles that mention race should be ignored - By people of all political parties.
