Just wondering if anybody else will be attending this celebration - it runs from noon till 9 on Sunday, July 26th - at a park at Chene & Warren. The fliers say Purrian Park, not sure if that is the proper spelling. Anyway - it should be fun. It honors Emperor Haile Selassie I, whose birthday is tomorrow, July 23rd. There will be African dancing & drumming, live reggae music/sound system, vegetarian food, games & activities for kids.

In particular, my boyfriend will be performing around 4 or 5 - he is a reggae musician from Guyana. Anyway, if you are looking for something different to do this weekend, come on out!
