Default Preservation Detroit Downtown Theatre Tours, Saturday, March 22

That's right!! In conjunction with the inaugural Freep Film Festival, March 20-23, Preservation Detroit is offering an abbreviated Downtown Theatre Tour...a sneak peak of their Annual Theatre Tour event that takes place each summer.

TOUR: Detroit’s Historic Movie Palaces, Saturday, March 22, 2014, 9am/9:30am/10am/10:30am.
Preservation Detroit is proud to showcase Detroit’s rich cinematic history through an exclusive tour of downtown Detroit movie palaces during the 2014 Freep Film Festival, which will feature films about or relevant to the city. This in-depth walking tour will take you behind the scenes at four historic theatres: the Detroit Opera House, the Fox Theatre, the Fillmore Theatre, and Music Hall. Tours of the Detroit Film Theatre will also be available. The 3-hour guided walking tour includes shuttle transportation to and from the Detroit Film Theatre as well as a complimentary voucher for a Freep Film Festival screening, which may be used at any point during the festival weekend. A packaged lunch will be available for purchase at the Detroit Film Theatre. The tour is a sneak peek of Preservation Detroit’s extremely popular annual Theatre Tour, which takes place in August each year and tours eight historic venues. Tickets for the Freep Film Festival Movie Palaces Tour are $35 per person. Tickets go on sale to Preservation Detroit members and the general public on Friday, March 7.
